Off-White x Nike Dunk Low

It's now the third blog we've written about the Off-White x Nike Dunk . At first it was just a rumor that the shoe should appear, then the first pictures were already leaked. Now the hyped sneaker is finally in the starting blocks and sneakerheads are rubbing their hands impatiently.

The Nike Dunk is seen by many as the little brother of the Air Jordan 1 and the shoe was initially also designed as a basketball sneaker. At the end of the 90s, the dunk low off white sneaker was discovered by the skater scene because the thick shoe tongue was perfect for the up-and-coming trend sport. 

Both the low and the high variant continued to be marketed as a "general release" by Nike until Nike SB was founded. This was an important step not only for the shoe itself but also for the emergence of collaborations between fashion and sports brands.

We think the dunk will make a big comeback. This year, the Nike Dunk has regained its popularity, after trendsetters like Travis Scott or Virigl Abloh were seen wearing the shoe more and more often. 

In addition, there is also the highly anticipated Off-White x Nike Dunk collaboration, which will increase the hype about the model even more. So 2020 could be the year of the Nike Dunk, so check out your local sneaker store of choice before the hype empties the shelves.




The details

The Dunk from the Off-White collaboration will be released in three different colorways. These include the colourways in Gold Midnight, Red Wolf Gray and Pine Green. All models have an unchanged silhouette of the Nike Dunk and only become a real off-white sneaker with the classic design elements by Virgil Abloh.

A second, wider lacing system was attached over the original lacing system of the shoe, which stretches an orange rope lace over the shoe. The lacing also dunk low off white runs on the heel of the sneaker, which is probably why it is only used for decoration.

On the inside you will find the product-specific text typical of Off-White and of course the cable tie as a hang tag. On the laces you can find another small detail, on both laces you can find the word 

The shoe is now supposed to be officially released on December 20th , 2019 and will be available at a price of 150€ . However, you still have to register for the raffle quickly in order to be able to get the shoe. We wish good luck!
