Nike Air Max 90

 Three years after the release of the first model with a visible Air cushion, Nike introduced a new one - Air Max III. In 2000, after the anniversary re-release, this model acquired the now familiar name Air Max 90 for the year of release. “Runners are conservative people. They don't really like their shoes changed too often, especially if everything is in order with them, ”said Tinker Hatfield. And he did not shock the consumer with something insanely new.

For the first time, multi-lace inserts appeared in the lacing of this model, allowing the shoe to be laced in different ways, depending on the characteristics of the instep and the thickness of the instep of the runner's foot. The main task of Tinker Hatfield while working on this model is to emphasize the pillow and make it more visible. Unusual plastic parts were added to the sneaker, which, by the way, can be counted only seven. An additional accent on the lateral sides of the sole, as well as an original color scheme in white, black and gray, along with infrared, were specially chosen in order to to give visual volume to the thickness of a single air cushion - in this model it became even larger, due to which the unofficial name "Big Window" was assigned to the Air Max 90.



Other features of the shoe include the tread pattern on the outsole, which has become more complex and massive for the first time in the history of the running industry. The two-level lacing system is inherited from the Air Max Light. The aggressive silhouette and contrasting color scheme brought mass attention to the sneaker.
